Karl Rove’s new book hits bookstores next week, a memoir where he admits that the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq seriously hurt the Bush Administration’s credibility. Rove, always the schemer, figured a book about losing things would be popular following Dan Brown’s “Lost Symbol”.

Real-Time Joke! FBI Tapped Our Phones

Washington Post breaking the story right now that the FBI illegally tapped US citizens’ phones from 2002 to 2006 by threatening the phone companies and making up false warrants after the fact. In one extreme case, an FBI agent waterboarded that ‘Can You Hear Me now?’ Guy.

Bush Book…

Former President Bush has just signed a deal to write his memoirs. The book will focus on how he made a dozen or so of the pivotal decisions during his presidency, such as going to war with Iraq and the response to Hurricane Katrina.

The tentative title of the book is ‘Tuesdays with Cheney’.

Bush on Obama

Former President Bush — in a side comment to a group of Canadian business leaders he was giving a speech to — said that he won’t criticize President Obama because he “deserves my silence.”

The Canadian business leaders then said, “What are we…chop liver?”
